About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst – Finance & Accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with specific experience in the float glass and coated glass industry. This role will involve overseeing financial operations, managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage budgets in collaboration with department heads. Analyze variances and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash flow effectively to support business operations and investment activities.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filing requirements. Coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.
- Audit Coordination: Facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors. Implement recommendations for process improvements.
- Cost Control: Implement and maintain effective cost control measures to optimize expenses while maintaining quality standards.
- Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts and projections to support business planning and resource allocation.
- Financial Systems Management: Oversee financial systems and processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with specific experience in the float glass and coated glass industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
